A Walk with God

The morning, feeling trapped and burdened in the news
Three cups of coffee and a boring cereal I choose
The early morning tasks are hard I find
The private trails beckon leaving civilization behind.

The gate cannot fast enough open wide
As into the woods and trails I slide,
Leaving clothes, keys, and cares in a pile,
Needing to wander, walk, and talk to God a while.

Carrying lust and shame and sin and need
In his natural world on His love to feed,
With prayer and steps and a little time
The world seems brighter and the sun does shine.

The cleansing walk in the woods has the desired effect
An hour or so of wind, sun and warmth on my body and neck
I am now loving and feeling in God’s sanctuary
So all life’s burdens my soul can carry!

So damn hot in our Texas summer. We have had hotter but with the humidity from the earlier rains, it is hard to work outside except early and late. Today I was out till about 1:30. Way to hot and a fear of the sun even though I tried to stay in shade as much as possible.

I was also working on the tractor some so I always carry my phone with me. See this blue thing on my back? I made it on my wife's sewing machine. Works great. Tried the arm band holders but I had to take the iphone out of the case to use them. Keeping the phone with me is important I believe. Tractors are too dangerous to not have some sort of communications with you.

Let me know what you think. Love to chat with you. naturisttom47@gmail.com

Awesome weekend in the country at our acreage in Bastrop County. Spent a lot of time repairing the washed out creek crossings. We had two major crossings wash out. We started on the more critical which consisted of rows of 80 pound bags of concrete followed by rows of railroad ties all connected by rebar steel. It was a lot of work and having the right tools such
as a tractor with a frontend loader made a huge difference. Sometimes I worked in the nude, sometimes not. I am pretty cautious so the question came to my mind, “What tasks am I willing to perform nude and what ones do I feel are just too unsafe? Here is a list of tasks. You decide what you would have done in what state of dress. Shoes are assumed for all tasks.

Clearing brush by hand and chain saw and hauling out of the way on loose gravel hill.
Gathering existing railroad ties that washed out of the crossing (aided by tractor with a chain.)
Using tractor to pull up steel posts that were bent by the flood with aid of chain.
Using tractor to push, pull, lift gravel back to proper places to begin building bridge.
Using shovel to level base for walls of bridge.
Carrying 80 lb bags of concrete and placing on leveled area, involves loose gravel on steep grades.
Cutting rebar pieces with a saws-all
Driving rebar pieces into layers of bags so that the wall will cure solid.
Putting railroad ties in place on top of concrete – tractor and lifting by hand.
Cutting ties with chain saw to make wall fit.
Drilling holes in ties so that they can be tied together with rebar.
Driving rebar into ties.
Using tractor and shovel to fill in behind wall to level.
Taking picture with wife after task is done.

Did I mention we killed a copperhead while working this weekend as well.

So starting in order by things I would absolutely not do naked to “it depends” to why would I not be nude, here is how I see things. Clearing brush by hand and chain saws are both meant to be done clothed with gloves, long sleves and pants. Too much stuff scrapes, bites, tears, trips, cuts with these activities. I value all my parts including my skin and I would like to keep them working and intact. Driving the tractor with no clothes is not to big of an issue unless branches are getting caught in the ROPS and popping back and hitting you. If I am getting on and off, I generally at least wear shorts and a shirt. Again, too many things that can go wrong, get caught or squeezed. Using a shovel is a no-brainer for no clothes. It is cooler and makes the work go smoother. Cutting steel I wear at least shorts and a shirt. Those hot steel flakes burn. The drilling and driving of rebar, I only wore gloves and shoes. I wore clothes while carrying heavy items because they were rubbing next to me as I carried them.

All in all, we worked hard and had a good weekend. I would be interested in tasks you do/did nude and clothed and why.

Three miles of nudity, some sun, and very wet ground. It was wonderful. The grass was high and wet on my trails so my feet were soaked but who cares when we can finally get out and expose our bodies to the wind, the sun, the shade, and just our heightened sense of touch. Very few bugs due to a nice wind but the spiders are starting to weave webs across the trails. Just a great time of year.

This week promises to be a little drier.  Maybe more time out being nude. If you are reading my blog, email me at naturisttom47 at gmail.com (replace at with @). I would love to hear your stories and comments.

Have a great week - go naked - enjoy your body - have fun

Rain! We have been drought ridden so long we are all afraid to complain about the tremendous amounts of rain we have been getting. It has my place so muddy and wet you can not walk comfortably. The good news is it will go away and I can shed my clothes and enjoy the sun and very green grasses as I swat at a new generation of mosquitoes.  God made them way too prolific.

On a rainy afternoon like today, I would love to be in bed with my wife having passionate fun sex, but that does not seem to be in older women's vocabulary. So I sit frustrated and dreaming of days past.....remember the time on the deck of the sailboat on Lake Travis......

To all nudists or want to be nudists out there, have a great rainy afternoon.

The work of many acres really gets in the way of my "air baths" as Ben Franklin used to call his walks in the nude. We have had so much rain that the trails I cut are constantly growing up to the point I have to mow them before I can hike again. Then the rain washed out much of our roads so I am repairing those as well as helping neighbors with theirs.

I do enjoy the hiking though when the Sun is not bearing down quite so hot. The humidity still brings out the sweat though and when I do get to hike, I come back with a full sheen of exertion. I love being nude in the wild.

I did make the run at Star Ranch in McDade. Great fun if you did not go. Nice cool day and I beat the time I hoped for.

Peace and God's blessing on you and your activities today.

It seems as though it has rained and been cold forever. Earlier this week the Sun broke through and the rain and cold were held at bay. I was able to go to the country, shed my clothes and enjoy the feel of the wind and the sun and the feel of nature touching me all over. Unfortunately, I had to work and catch up on several tasks, but doing them in the nude was awesome and made all of the tasks enjoyable.  Today promises to be another beautiful day. The birds are out, wildflowers are starting to bloom, and one of the best things is the insects have not yet arrived in full force. Being nude is wonderful.

My biggest disappointment though is my preparation for the 5K over at Starr Ranch on April 11. I suppose I will not run the whole race but enjoy a walk with other not so in shape nudists. When I was younger I could always get in shape for a race in just a few weeks, but not any longer. Come walk the race with us. Here is the link .http://www.starranch.net/

A January Day

The day was warm, with days of cold and dreariness falling away.  The Sun was high and more in the south so that it bathed my body completely as I walked. My summer tan has long faded but this January day held the promise of a warm spring and gaining that glow back. Walking in the woods much of the year presents the challenges of spider webs, flies, and other bugs, but a January walk on a warm winter day has none of those issues. The native grasses are tall enough in some areas to reach the bottom of my butt and tickle me as I walk through them. This walk created in me a desire and lust for my wife. Who would have thought the woods could bring on an erection in an old guy.  I love being in nature and appreciating what God has created in both the world and me.

Weather, Cancer, Rumblings

January in central Texas. You have to love the constant change of weather. Monday and Tuesday were beautiful days with temps warming to over 70 and then rain and cold for the foreseeable future. Two days of being in the nude hiking around the property and washing vehicles enjoying the light wind tickling the hairs on my body. I guess we have to have bad days to make us appreciate the good days.

I have a friend who is dying and will probably not live through this week. I just lost another friend a couple of weeks ago. My friend who is dying has cancer. She has fought it for many years. I know she did not want to die this way. None of us want to waste away to a disease; we want to be healthy right up to the end and then die and at a very old age. Cancer sucks.

I had cancer over a dozen years ago. Every year the doctor says I am in remission, never that I am cured. This must mean that it still is rumbling around inside me. I want it the hell out; GET OUT NOW! No one tells you how to do that, instead they tell you how to keep it hanging over your head so you can worry, pray, read, study about something that may or may not exist in you. I went this week to be told come back in a year and we will probe and push and test your body one more time to scare you until we tell you are ok again.  The oncologists need to figure out a better way.

Please pray for all those who have cancer, for those researching cures. Remission is good, cure is better.

A Race in the Nude

A Race in the Nude

Part of my goals for this year is to run several 5K races. At least two of these are races run at nudist sites and therefore run in the nude. I ran one at Star Ranch in McDade (http://www.starranch.net/) a couple of years ago. The goal is not to run fast or win, but to have a great time and enjoy being with others naked enjoying the out of doors.

The race is a good way to introduce yourself to nudist camps if you have never been.  I plan to be at Star Ranch on April 11, 2015. Come join. It is fun.

Here is what I wrote 2 years ago after running the race: "Today I ran my first race ever in the nude! That was not such a big deal but hanging around and not being too self-concious was. “Is my dick smaller than most? what are the women thinking about me. Did I stare at her boobs too long? That guy is huge!!”
Amazing what we put ourselves through."

Why be Nude

Why be Nude
  • Less clothes to wash
  • Set you’re A/C higher, lower bills
  • Do not have to figure out what to wear when you wake up
  • Your sexy parts are always handy
  • You use your whole body as a touch organ and sense more.
  • Your feet are not bound up in clothes when you go to the bathroom
  • The air moving around you feels great.
  • No tan lines
  • Clothes are uncomfortable, tight, etc. Naked is free.
  • Your sexy mood is obvious.
  • Swimming nude is awesome.
  • God created me this way.

How I Started Hiking Nude

How I Started Hiking Nude

A couple of years ago, my wife and I were hanging around our place in the country. I practice the five Tibetan Rituals of Rejuvenation almost every day and usually in the nude out of doors. I also enjoy hiking on our wooded place and the trails that I have made throughout. I wondered if I could hike the trails unclothed and shared the the thought with my wife. So the first hike kind of turned into a dare. She went with me, fully clothed, and me naked except for shoes and a hat.
Wow! I never expected the enjoyment and peace and lightness that this first hike brought, in between of course, the momentary frights of what if someone sees me, what if I run into someone, etc. Over time, those thoughts have disappeared as I realize that the property is mine, it is private, and if some body comes up, I will invite them to join me now whether they are clothed or not. What has not disappeared is the joy of hiking with the wind tickling the hair on my body, the sun warming me as the shade cools me as I pass through the beautiful God given forest. Now, I hike alone 99% of the time, but not really for it has turned into my prayer time. I speak often with my God and share my joys, concerns and revel in the peace that passes all understanding.
I urge you to find a private place to be nude in the woods and make it a spiritual experience. We were born naked and we go out of this life with nothing as well. The Good Lord wants to hear from you and he is a lot easier to reach when you are naked in his house.

Thanks for reading my blog. I live in Bastrop County in central Texas and love to hike nude as often as possible.  My friends do not know this about me although they are aware of my proclivity for shedding clothes at home.

I am a native Texan, male, born in 1947.  I hike nude on my personal property several times a week when weather permits. My wife hikes with me, but she chooses to stay clothed. My property is private and in several years of hiking I have never encountered any other people.

I will share more about me in future blogs.
